Beth Medcalf

Beth has been working for the Down’s syndrome Association for three and a half years. She provides training to parents and professionals around a variety of topics such as puberty and adolescence and supporting positive behaviour. She has been part of the creation of the ‘Let’s Talk about Relationships and Sex’ training package for adults who have Down’s syndrome, she has also supported the running of a Having a Voice advocacy group based in southwest London. Previously, Beth worked as a social worker for children with additional needs and is passionate about disabled people having equal rights, freedom and opportunities as the rest of society.

Bethan Kendrick

Bethan has been a long-standing member of the Down syndrome Associations ‘Down2Earth’ advocacy group based in southwest London. She confidently advocates for herself, whilst also providing support and encouragement to other group members and ensures that everyone is included. Bethan was selected to represent the United Kingdom for Commonwealth Day 2019, where she was a flag bearer.
